How does flexibility help you generate more power?

As you wind up your backswing your muscles are stretched to generate coil and leverage which is then retained (or even made greater) in the transition from backswing to through swing before releasing the energy through impact to maximise your club head speed through impact. The more flexible we are, the greater our ability will be to produce leverage and power in your downswing.
